The Italian brand CC-TAPIS manufactures contemporary design carpets according to ancient Tibetan craft tradition. Far from mass production, CC-TAPIS values local, fairly paid craftsmanship and high-quality hand-selected materials. Hand knotting is a very delicate and complex production technique, where each knot in the carpet is tied by hand. A CC-TAPIS carpet can have up to 232,000 individual knots per square meter. After the knotting is completed, the rug goes through an elaborate finishing stage, which perfects the unique design. The carpets are cut, sheared and embossed by hand. Each carpet is unique.
