Atmospheric light from sunset to night
The portable table lamp Obello is an iconic space-age design from 1971 by Bill Curry.
With the visual form of a mushroom, he drew inspiration from the atomic age, the space race, and pop culture. Unfortunately, he passed away that same year and never saw the table lamp go into production.
Half a century later, GUBI, with the support of his family, has put Curry’s innovative design into production for the first time, now as a portable version. With a frosted, hand-blown glass shade and an integrated dimmable LED light source, the rechargeable table lamp can be easily moved between indoors and outdoors. With a full charge in four and a half hours and a runtime of up to 40 hours of light, the Obello table lamp creates a cozy atmosphere when the sun goes down and lasts well into the night.
